the phenomenon that is visible tomake the conclusion.
Results of the study
This research emphasizes the point of cultural capital, power relations and
cultural reproduction in local education and local school system of Bru children. The
findings of the study are as follows:
Knowledge or cultural capital of Bru children can be divided into three
curriculums as follows:
1)Curriculums in schools
Ban Ta- Long is a primary school accepts students from Kindergarten -
Grade 6 under the Basic EducationCurriculumBE 2544, with all eight learning of the
Ministry of Education; for example, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Religion and
Culture, Health and Physical Education, Career and Technology, and foreign
languages. In addition to developing students as a part of the curriculum at the school
is set up, it is used for enhancing and learning skills and experience to students.
For the courses of school, most of them are the reproduction of knowledge
in academic, basic knowledge, literacy and numeracy and critical thinking. Moreover,
there is also the cultural capital that schools built under government policy such as
implanting democracy, being Thai, love in nation, religion, and the king, including
development by using the sufficiency economy philosophy; as well as, the cultural
capital of themoral, discipline, harmony, and confidence.
These cultural capital is mostly transmitted by teachers or reproduced to
the Bru students by “teaching to do” and/ or “leading to do” through a process of
