Design Expert: Jiraroj Sangsuwanwaw
Background: Mr. Jiraroj Sangsuwanwawwas a full timemotion graphic designer for Farmgroup
Co., Ltd. He has donemore than two dozenworks. He has done numerous animations as well.
RESEARCHER: Please tell me some of the experiences you haveworking withMotion Graphic.
MR. SANGSUWANWAW:
I have had experience since I was in school, whichwas a good place to
find out the type of motion graphic youwouldwant to be specialized in. After graduating I
went towork on video production for FarmGroup right away. Some of the projects I had
worked onwere displays for events, video presentation, visual effect, andmusic videos.
Because the firm I worked at is quite small, so I have to do a lot of different things, even some
of things I’m not particularly very good at. So there are a lot of varieties in term of the type of
projects that comemy way.
RESEARCHER: Can you giveme an example of some of the project youworked on?
MR. SANGSUWANWAW:
The last few projects aremostly video presentation andmotion
infographic. These aremostly from background companies that want to tell others what they
do, which is sometime very hard to explain. So it wasmy job to simplify and explainwhat they
do in an easy to understandway. For example, a company called ____. It is a new type of
company that is never established before in Thailand, so it wasmy job to tell ______’s their
story in a very brief, interesting, but still a finishedway.
RESEARCHER: Why do you focusmainly onmotion graphic in your professional practice? And
inwhat way do you thinkmotion graphic is different than other types of design?
MR. SANGSUWANWAW:
I think every design type has its own attractiveness. For me, I want to
do something that attracts people tomy work. I alsowant to tell a story that is fun and help
people understand things better.
RESEARCHER: Please explain tome the process youwent throughwhen youwork on an
Infographic/Motion Graphic project project, such as what is the starting point, andwhere do you
say that this project is finally complete?
MR. SANGSUWANWAW:
Firstly I have to talk with the client about their work andwhat they
want from us. We have tomake ourselves understand the client’s product asmuch as
possible andwe have to understand it in the sameway with the clients themselves too.
