settled at Truem village when they first came and then they spread to other villages in
Surin, Burirum and Srisakate province. They are commonly called “Suey”. They took an
important role as the group who offer the gift to the King annually during the Ayudhaya
period. They have their own dialect which are called Morn-Khmar and So. Some called
“Kuoy” or “Kuoy” which mean human. This group of people are divided into sub- group
such as Kuymalor (Melo), Kuykumreuy and Kuy Maroo and Kroo. They operate the
administration by choose the village committee. The head of the village is called “Por Ban”.
Then they change the administration system in 1932. They have the sub district sheriff
which is called “Kamnan”, and the principal of the village which is called Poo Yai Ban.
They are respect the elder. They live in big group mostly together with relatives in each
neighborhood. Their physical appearances are white or tan skin, high and well built.

The economic in the society, they are farmers and do other jobs such as feed livestock,
silk producing, employee, seller and work as government official. The income for a family
per month is around 10,000 – 20,000 bath. The debt is around 100,000 – 250,000 bath per
family. Their economic level can be divided into three groups: rich is around 10%,
medium is around 40%, and poor is around 50%. They have their plays which show their
feature culture through these activities: Bong Fai shows, Kelmor and Morlum performance,
Suaysapook festival, Rumserng and Rue Klongyao shows. They believe in spirit and
ancestors and also have the specific believe about the monitor lizard of the genus
Varanus or in Thai called Taguad. They are knowledgeable in silk producing, rice growing
and cooking. They are also having rituals and culture about Apol (fortune telling),
