groups in Surin and Buriram Province

The research of the Dynamic to Change in Consumption Foods Culture of Thai-Kuoy
Ethnic groups in Surin and Buriram Province. The objectives of the study are 1. to study the
physical context of economic; society and traditional way of life include food consuming
tradition. This is also related to the ways, belief, the traditional of food consuming and
the ritual of Thai-Kuoy in Surin and Burirum province. 2. To study the change of food
consuming of Thai-Kuoy people Surin and Burirum province from the past up to the
present. 3. to study the factors of food consuming change of Thai-Kuoy people in Surin
and Burirum province. The researcher use sampling the subject for the study in both
province. The purposive samples are from two provinces, 5 districts and 5 villages
include the people from Truem village and Tael village in Srikorapoom district, Ta Klang
village in Tatoom district, Surin province, Nong Bue Jao Pa village in Satueg district,
Nondaeng village in Krasang district and Seesook village in Bangrued district, Burirum
province. The researcher sampling the subject by using Taro Yamane square, 1973. The
sample are 67 people by 4 village and 66 people by 2 village 400 samples. The tools for
the study are interview, ask for opinion and group conversation. The results found
according to the objectives are as follows:
1. To study the physical context of economic, society and traditional way of life
include food consuming tradition. This is also related to the ways, belief, the traditional
of food consuming and the ritual of Thai-Kuoy people in Surin and Burirum province. The
result found that the history of Thai-Kuoy dating back 300 years ago during the late
Ayudhaya period or the early of Thonburi period or during 2303 - 2310 B.E. It’s believed
