2. Research Objectives
2.1 to study contexts of

ensemble in Chaing Rai society.
2.2 to study melodic characteristics of so of Seetuan Sornnoi’s style, Chiang
Rai province.
3. Scopes of Work
This research scopes at

ensemble and vocal form of

melodies : tang
chaing mai, chapoo, and lamai, and also analyses relation between vocal melody with
its instrumental melody which is an innovation of Mr. Sornnoi’s style in Chiang Rai
province.
4. Procedures
The procedure of study is provided in four steps; data gathering, data
arranging, data analyzing, and research-report presentation.
