Her creation of valuable literary works was confirmed by all participants who attended
the seminar on the promotion of Mrs. Prakhin Xumsai Na Audhya’s literary works. The seminar
held by the researcher was well appreciated because all the famous the Thai poets and writers
invited expressed in their personal attitudes and impressions towards her work that they were
highly qualified masterpieces of Thai literature. The invited speakers all expressed appreciation
for Prakhin Xumsai Na Audhya’s valuable and distinguished works. They remarked that her
poems and prose writings had a lot of influence both on their imagination and their writing.
This research concluded that there were four main reasons that made her works under
the pen names ‘Ujjeni’ and ‘Nid Nararaks’ become popular and influential: 1) her personal
wisdom and personality which showed her distinguished educational background, her public
mindedness concerned with national and global issues, and her leadership; 2) her highly
religious disciplined behavior that formed her humanity which led to her being a creative poet
and writer: the beauty of language usage in her works is derived from her beautiful and religious
mind; and 3) her excellent education influencing her literary works. This research revealed that
the influence from her study of Thai and Western literature at the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn
University and her academic training abroad encouraged her to read many literary works. This
experience helped her to be able to produce and create many beautiful pieces of work. 4)
Finally, her experience as perceived from her current social and political environment has driven
her to be a poetic writer for ‘life.’
This research concluded that Mrs. Prakhin Xumsai Na Ayudhya is one of the ‘classical,
influential’ artists for the next generation of writers and readers. She is undoubtedly worthy of
being appraised as the ‘National Artist’ of this country.
