In the present social context, an appropriate transmission process of Thai martial arts is one that
emphasizes its moral-social values of gratitude and “
pen muay
”, which can be done by creating faith
among the students, while the teachers should be living examples of these values. To carry out such a
process it should be structurally supported by a well defined goal, a host, and supporting activities. The
curriculum should be holistic and incorporates Thai traditional teaching style. The educational institute
should provides public venues that encourage students to present their skills and knowledge. It should
also have a strategy to promote an understanding of the authentic values of Thai martial arts to the
larger society.
