Apart from gardener musicians, a high member of royal family, Prince Lopburi
Ramesune had a Pi-ie Part ensemble here. His Bang Kholaem Palace Ensemble was
one of the foremost ones of the time. The achievement came from four factors 1. the
wealth and power with royal grace of the owner 2. the wisdom of the teacher ; Luan
Pradit Pairoh ( Sorn Silaprabanrean ) 3.the diligent musicians and 4. the atmosphere of
the culture under the absolute monarchy era. The Bang Kholaem Palace Ensemble had
been existed for 5 years. It ended with its famous building when the owner died in 1932.
At present the people at Bang Khlo had tried to get Thai traditional music back
to this area by setting Wat Raunyods Sutharam (Wat Bang Khlo Nai) as the center to teach
Thai traditional music to the youth. This center was opened in 1992 and is still
functioning today. The achievement of the revival came from the cooperation of the
temple, music teachers ,and parents. Another important factor was that this area still
had music culture tradition. The important obstructions in Thai traditional conservation
here were the lack of state support and the lack of the committee participation in
planning the direction of music teaching for the youth.
